My last email from Mamallapuram, my home in India. It becomes more and more like my home in Nerja; everyone stops me in the street to say hello. The children are sad, every day they’ll say to me ‘the last Monday,’ ‘the last Tuesday,’ ‘only 3 days more’.
I’ve managed to raise enough money for beds, the store room is full, and there are no debts left to pay, they have enough food for two months. Everyone is healthy, no-one is ill. It’s been two weeks since we’ve had to go to the doctor. Yesterday, it was their last day for NUTELLA, ha ha ha. They didn’t go to school either yesterday or today after a torrential rainstorm. There was half a metre of water in the street, and the older children were sent back home this morning. There are no buses either because of the bad weather.
We’re having a party tomorrow, with dancing and singing. Everyone will be wearing their new Christmas clothes and eating their favourite food – chicken Byriani with cake afterwards. I’m looking forward to being at home again, but I’ll feel sad to leave the children as I know that when I’m here things will change. There won’t be any walks to the park or picnics on the beach, nor will they have fruit every day or extras like biscuits and chocolate and bread rolls. I’ve done everything I could though to give them as much as I can over these past weeks: apart from food and extras, loads of kisses and hugs, laughter, games, etc. As the bigger children say, it’s only 10 months until you come back again!!!!
I hope that’s what will happen.
I’ve got loads more to tell you, but I’m a bit tired.

hola a todos,
mi ultimo mail desde Mamallapuram , mi pueblo en la India .
Mas y mas parece a mi pueblo en Nerja, todo el mundo me para en la calle y me saludan.
Los niños estan tristes , cada dia dices el ultimo domingo , el ultimo lunes , el ultimo martes , solo 3 dias mas .
He conseguido el dinero para camas , la despensa esta llena y no hay deudas pendientes , tienen comida para 2 meses . Todos estan con buena salud , ninguno esta enfermo , hace 2 semanas que no vamos a ver un medico !!!!!todos han engordado , ayer el ultimo dia de NUTELLA jajajajajaja. Ayer ni hoy han ido a la escuela , hemos tenido una tormenta tremenda, con lluvias , medio metro de agua en la calle !!!!! Esta mañana tambien han vuelto los grandes , no hay autobuses tampoco por el mal tiempo .
Mañana por la noche tenemos una fiesta , con danza , y canciones todos con la ropa nueva de navidad , y su comida favorita Byriani rice con pollo , despues tarta .
Tengo ganas de estar en casa , pero tambien me da pena de dejar los niños , porque se cuando no estoy las cosas cambian . No hay paseos al parque , ni picnics en la playa , tampoco frutas cada dia y los extras de galletas , chocolates , bollos de leche . Pero he hecho todo lo posible para darles por lo menos durante estas semanas todo aparte de comida y extras , besos y besos , mimos , risas, juegos etc….. Como dicen los mas grandes solo son 10 meses hasta que vuelves !!!!!
Espero que puede ser asi .
Tengo mucho mas cosas que contar pero estoy algo cansada .

Entre todos hemos conseguido que 30 niños tienen unas navidades maravillosas .
